FMCSA ELD List for Truckers: Registered and Revoked Devices (2026)

Type the brand as it reads on the tablet or the box. The lookup searches both FMCSA lists at once and copes with typos and old brand names. Each result lists the device's models and software versions with the maker's phone number and user manual. Check my fleet takes one device per line and puts the ones that need action first. What the result means

• Registered.The model and software version are on FMCSA's registered list, which is what 49 CFR 395.22(a) requires. FMCSA's list page says the devices are self-certified by the manufacturer and that the agency endorses none of them.
• Revoked by FMCSA. FMCSA removed the device after finding it did not meet the technical rules in Appendix A to subpart B of part 395. Its notices give carriers 60 days to switch to a registered device. The result shows the date to replace it before, or says the deadline has passed.
• Self revoked. The maker withdrew the device from the list. 254 of the 386 revoked rows carry this status. FMCSA publishes no replacement window for them, though they are off the registered list that 395.22(a) requires carriers to use.
• Registered and revoked versions. The device has registered rows and revoked rows. The model number and software version on your own device decide which row applies.
• Not found.Nothing matches what you typed, even at the closest spelling. Search by the maker's name or the model number instead. The user manual linked on each result is the one the maker filed with FMCSA.

Similar names and shared identifiers

A name search can turn up another company's product. Searching for Garmin returns Garmin eLog, which is registered, and Field Warrior ELD (Garmin) from Forward Thinking Systems LLC, which FMCSA revoked on 30 December 2025. The second comes from a different company, which put Garmin in brackets in the device name. Old brand names catch people out too. KeepTruckin renamed itself Motive in 2022, and the revoked list holds a device called Keep Truckin from Satinder Singh, which its maker withdrew on 24 August 2022. It is not a Motive product. The lookup shows Motive's registered ELD first for that search and marks the other one as a different company's device. That is why the lookup groups rows by maker and device name, not by name alone.

20 ELD identifiers appear on both lists. FMCSA's tables do not say whether a shared identifier means a device came back after a removal or that one version stayed registered while another was withdrawn, so match the model number and software version before you rely on the result.

What to do if your ELD is revoked

Each FMCSA revocation notice lists these steps.

• Stop using the revoked device and record hours of service on paper logs or logging software.
• Replace it with a device from the registered list within 60 days of the removal.
• After that, officers who find a driver still using the device cite 49 CFR 395.8(a)(1) and place the driver out of service under the Commercial Vehicle Safety Alliance out-of-service criteria.

FMCSA puts a device back on the registered list if its maker corrects every deficiency, and tells the industry when it does. Removals by FMCSA have risen every year since 2022, from 2 in 2022 to 37 in 2025. In 2026 it had removed 56 by 19 September 2026. Makers withdraw devices too, and the table counts both. Browse the lists, in the lookup above, shows every device behind these counts.

How the list is compiled

• Both lists come from FMCSA's ELD website: the registered list and the revoked list.
• A scheduled job reads both lists every day and updates this page only when FMCSA's data changes. A download that fails, arrives with different columns or comes back more than a tenth shorter is discarded, and the page keeps the last good copy.
• Every column FMCSA publishes is kept: device name, model number, software version, ELD identifier, company, phone, email, website, address, data transfer methods, the user manual and product image, and the maker's filing texts on data transfer, malfunctions and certification. Revoked rows add the status and removal date.
• Replace-by dates are the removal date plus FMCSA's 60days. They match the dates in FMCSA's 2026 revocation notices.

The API endpoint

The same data is available as JSON at /api/data/eld-status. Send a GET request with ?q= and a brand, device name or ELD identifier for the matching devices, or with ?list= and a list name for every row on that list. POST a JSON list of up to 200 devices for a verdict on each. A GET request with no query returns the field descriptions and current counts.
